# Introduction

## Introduction

This documentation covers how to use Lendflow: the **Lendflow Dashboard**, the **Lendflow API**, and embeddable applicant experiences (**Application Widget** and **Borrower Platform**). Guides are step-by-step walkthroughs. The API Reference documents endpoints and payloads. Later guides cover going live, MCP, builders, deals, and data services.

This page is the first step: pick an environment and use the matching URLs.

Each environment includes two surfaces:

| Surface | Who uses it | What it is |
| - | - | - |
| **Lendflow Dashboard** | People in a browser | Sign in, configure templates, and work deals |
| **Lendflow API** | Software | REST API that creates and updates the same data |

## Environments

An **environment** has its own Dashboard host and API host. Use both URLs from the same row. Do not send sandbox credentials to production, or production credentials to sandbox.

Start in **sandbox** while you build. Switch to **production** only when real applicants will use Lendflow.

    The **Lendflow Dashboard** is the website. The **Lendflow API** is the REST API for software. They share an environment but use different URLs.

    No. Pick one row in the table and use both URLs from that row.

    No. Sandbox is a separate environment with its own Dashboard and API hosts.
