# LexisNexis Business Credit

## LexisNexis Business Credit

LexisNexis Business Credit returns a small-business credit score or a blended score for a US business and its authorized representative. The **LexisNexis Business Credit** Workflow Builder block is in the **Business Credit** category, supports business entities, and runs one service:

| Service | Service ID | Purpose |
| - | - | - |
| **Small Business Credit Score** | `lexis_nexis_small_business_credit_score` | Returns business-credit scoring, reason codes, trade summaries, public-record counts, and requested small-business attributes. |

## Purpose

Use this service to retrieve either a business-only credit score or a blended score that uses both business and authorized-representative information. The result is provider data, not a Lendflow approval or decline decision.

## Requirements

| Application field | Requirement | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| Business legal name | Required | Used to match the business. |
| Business telephone | Required | Use a valid ten-digit phone number. |
| EIN | Required | Use a valid EIN. |
| Business address line 1, city, state, and ZIP code | Required | Used to match the business. |
| Business address line 2 | Optional | Improves business matching when available. |
| Primary owner's first and last name | Required | Used to match the authorized representative. |
| Primary owner's address line 1, city, state, and ZIP code | Required | Used to match the authorized representative. |
| Primary owner's address line 2 | Optional | Improves owner matching when available. |
| Primary owner's telephone | Optional | Use a valid phone number. |

### Score option

| Application field | Requirement | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| Score type | Required | Valid options are `credit_score` for the business credit score and `blended_score` for the blended score. |

## API flow

1. Authenticate with a Bearer integration token that can access the application and run underwriting services.
2. Call [Enrich Business Credit Application](/api-reference/workflow-management/enrich-business-credit-application) at `PUT /api/applications/{application_id}/enrich`.
3. Set `provider` to `lexis_nexis_small_business_credit_score`.
4. Set `options.scoreType` to `credit_score` or `blended_score`.
5. Include `stage_id` only when the application workflow requires a specific underwriting stage.
6. Confirm that the response contains `data.onqueue: true`.
7. Poll [Get Commercial Data](/api-reference/workflow-management/get-commercial-data) with `services[]=lexis_nexis_small_business_credit_score`.

```json theme={"system"}
{
  "provider": "lexis_nexis_small_business_credit_score",
  "options": {
    "scoreType": "credit_score"
  }
}
```

The request is asynchronous. `data.onqueue: true` means Lendflow queued the job; it does not mean LexisNexis returned a result.

| Commercial-data path | Content |
| - | - |
| `commercial_data.lexis_nexis.small_business_credit_score.credit_score` | Latest business-credit response requested with `scoreType: "credit_score"`. |
| `commercial_data.lexis_nexis.small_business_credit_score.blended_score` | Latest blended response requested with `scoreType: "blended_score"`. |
| `statuses.lexis_nexis.small_business_credit_score.credit_score` | Latest lifecycle message for the business-credit request. |
| `statuses.lexis_nexis.small_business_credit_score.blended_score` | Latest lifecycle message for the blended request. |
| `request_data.lexis_nexis.small_business_credit_score` | Stored requests grouped by score type. Treat EIN and contact information as sensitive. |

Internally, Lendflow sends the provider request to LexisNexis's `/SmallBusinessBipCombinedReport` operation.

## Data Orchestration availability

The service is available in the current Data Orchestration **Business Credit** catalog. Add **LexisNexis Business Credit**, select the score type required by the template, publish the template, and run it with [Execute Data Orchestration](/api-reference/data-orchestration/execute-data-orchestration). Data Orchestration automatically fetches the selected score as a synchronous prerequisite when an outcome uses it.

Monitor the run with [List Data Orchestration Logs](/api-reference/data-orchestration/list-data-orchestration-logs). The application still must contain every required business and authorized-representative input.

## What the service returns

| Response area | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `Header` | Provider status and transaction identifier. |
| `InputEcho` | The business and representative search data LexisNexis received. Treat it as sensitive. |
| `SmallBusinessAnalyticsResults` | Requested model scores, score reasons, and named attributes such as the best NAICS code. |
| `CreditReportRecords` | Credit score records, trade summaries, public-record counts, property and asset record summaries, and B2B trade data when available. |
