# Creation of Business and Individual Profiles: Unique Identifiers

## Creation of Business and Individual Profiles: Unique Identifiers

A Business profile is created using information when a new business comes through on the first deal. An Individual profile is created using information when a new owner comes through on a deal.

<Note>
  To learn more about how profiles are created using deal information, see [Deal Information in Business and Individual Profiles](/lendflow-external/docs/deal-information-in-business-and-individual-profiles).
</Note>

Once the Business and/or Individual profile is created, we use unique identifiers to match any new deals and information to these existing profiles.

* For Business profiles, the unique identifiers are:

  * Business Name
  * Business Address

* For Individual Profiles, the unique identifiers are:

  * First Name
  * Last Name
  * Date of Birth

Once the Business or Individual profile is created, if another deal comes through with **all** of the unique identifiers above, we will match that deal to the respective profile. If any of these unique identifiers differ from an existing business or individual profile, a new profile will be created.
