# Run Scorecards on a Deal

## Run Scorecards on a Deal

Run a scorecard or scorecard group from a deal's **Scorecards** stage to calculate points, a status, and a risk tier from information already available on the deal.

## Before you begin

Confirm that:

* The deal's workflow includes a **Scorecards** stage.
* The workflow template makes the applicable finished scorecards or scorecard groups available on that stage.
* The deal contains the information required by the selected scorecard.

<Warning>
  Running a scorecard does not run Data Orchestration or request new data from a provider. If the scorecard depends on updated information, retrieve or update that information before running the scorecard.
</Warning>

## Run scorecards

1. Open the deal in the Lendflow Dashboard.
2. Open the **Scorecards** stage.
3. Select the **Scorecards** tab.
4. Select **Run All** to run every available scorecard, or select **Run Specific Scorecards** and choose the scorecards you want to run.
5. Wait for the results to appear in the scorecard list.

## Run scorecard groups

1. From the deal's **Scorecards** stage, select the **Scorecard Groups** tab.
2. Select **Run All** to run every available group, or select **Run Specific Scorecard Groups** and choose the groups you want to run.
3. Wait for the group results to appear.

A scorecard group runs its assigned scorecards and applies the weights, point mappings, and rules configured in the group template.

## Review scorecard results

The scorecard list summarizes the latest result.

| Result | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Points** | Total points calculated from the scorecard configuration and available deal data. |
| **Status** | Resulting status, such as Approved, Manual Review, Declined, or a custom status. |
| **Risk Tier** | Risk classification produced by the configured point ranges. |
| **Knockout** | Indicates that an attribute matched a configured knockout rule. |
| **Primary** | Identifies the scorecard whose result is prioritized for the deal and displayed in applicable deal-list views. |

Select a scorecard's name to review the attributes, values, distributions, and points that produced the result. If a primary attribute was unavailable and a backup was configured, the detail view shows the value used from the backup attribute.

When a knockout rule matches, individual attribute points can still appear in the detail view, but the scorecard's total points are set according to the knockout behavior.

## Review scorecard group results

Select a scorecard group's name to review:

* The status and risk tier produced by the group.
* Each scorecard included in the group.
* The scorecard points and the weighted group points.
* Any group rule that applied an individual scorecard's status or risk tier to the group result.

Select an individual scorecard within the group to inspect its attribute-level result.

## Run a scorecard again

Run a scorecard or group again after:

* Deal information has changed.
* A required data service or Data Orchestration run has produced newer information.
* The scorecard or group template has changed.

The new run recalculates the result from the information currently available on the deal.

## Use scorecard results during placement

When a scorecard is linked to a funder and the placement matches its offer configuration, the deal's **Placement** stage can display the scorecard result, knockout indicator, status, and risk tier for that funder.

## FAQ

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Why is a scorecard missing from the deal?">
    Confirm that the scorecard is finished and selected in the **Scorecards** stage of the workflow template used by the deal. Draft or unselected scorecards are not available to run.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why did rerunning a scorecard produce the same result?">
    A rerun uses the information currently available on the deal. If the source attributes and template configuration have not changed, the result should remain the same.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I run only one scorecard from a group?">
    Run an individual scorecard from the **Scorecards** tab. Running a scorecard group evaluates the scorecards assigned to that group so it can calculate the group result.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What does Primary mean?">
    Primary identifies the scorecard or scorecard group whose result is prioritized for the deal and shown in applicable deal-list views.
