# Scorecard Reports and Backtesting

## Scorecard Reports and Backtesting

Use Scorecard Reports to review aggregate scoring results and Backtest Reports to evaluate how a scorecard or scorecard group performs across previous deals.

| Report type | Use it to |
| - | - |
| **Scorecard Report** | Review results produced by an individual scorecard. |
| **Scorecard Group Report** | Review results produced by a scorecard group. |
| **Backtest Report** | Run a selected scorecard or group against a historical set of deals and analyze the resulting statuses and risk tiers. |

## Open Scorecard Reports

1. In the Lendflow Dashboard, open **Builders > Scorecards > Reports**.
2. Select the **Scorecards** or **Scorecard Groups** tab.
3. Select a template to open its report.

Use these reports to review how an existing scorecard or group has scored deals. Backtesting is the better option when you want to test a new or changed scoring model against a selected population.

## Run a Backtest Report from Scorecards

1. Open **Builders > Scorecards > Backtest Reports**.
2. Select **New Backtest Report**.
3. In **Choose Scorecard**, select an individual scorecard or scorecard group.
4. In **Select Deals**, choose the deals to include in the test.
5. Continue to **See Scorecard Report** and wait for Lendflow to calculate the results.
6. Review the per-deal results and the status and risk-tier summaries.
7. Select **Save Report** if you want to return to the results later.

You can include up to 5,000 deals in one Backtest Report.

## Start a backtest from the Deals page

Use the Deals page when a Smartview or search has already identified the population you want to test.

1. Open **Deals** in the left-side menu.
2. Apply any Smartview or search filters needed to identify the deals.
3. Enable multiple selection and select the deals to include.
4. Select **Run Backtest Report**.
5. Select the scorecard or scorecard group to test.
6. Review the generated report and save it if needed.

Because the deals were selected before opening the report builder, Lendflow skips the **Select Deals** step.

## Review the results

Use the report to compare how the selected deals are distributed across:

* Scorecard statuses.
* Risk tiers.
* Individual deal results.
* Scorecard or scorecard-group points.

These results can help you identify whether changes to attributes, points, weights, ranges, or rules would produce the intended decisioning behavior before applying the model more broadly.
